Moto Guzzi will be showcasing their V12X Concept at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show next weekend. The V12X, one of three design variation of Guzzi’s 1200cc air-cooled V-twin, will be taking centre stage of the Moto Guzzi stand at the ExCeL in London’s Docklands from February 4-7, to offer visitors a glimpse into the future of what to expect from Lombardy based marque. The supermoto has been designed by Miguel Galluzzi and Pierre Terblanche, who between them have come up with the styling of original Ducati Monster, Aprilia RSV4 and the Ducati 999, and Terblanche claims that the bike that visitors see at the show is a close representation to what they will be able to buy in the near future. “They are really production bikes - 80% of them is production ready,” he told Motorcycle News. “There are few details pushed beyond what we can do - the headlight for example - but there’s not really any new technology as such. But whether they’ll go in to production is a decision that still has to be made. “We’re picking up a thread that was dropped a few years ago - Moto Guzzi does classical bikes, but we’re carrying on something that was stopped. The engine allows a compact bike - the cylinders are out of the way which is helpful with packaging. We’re working on making the bikes compact.” Read article
