BSB: Bridewell signs for Quay Garage Racing

Tommy Bridewell will return to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship next season after signing for the reigning BSB Cup champions Quay Garage Racing. Bridewell returned to the BSB paddock this season at Snetterton and went on to achieve 13 podiums from the remaining 17 races. The Quay Garage team and Gary Mason lifted the 2009 Cup title with an impressive 18 victories aboard the Honda Fireblade, although discussions are currently ongoing with various manufacturers ahead of next season. Bridewell said: "I'm delighted to be joining up with Ian and the team at Quay Garage and I'm really looking forward to the season ahead. "It also helps when you know what you're doing this side of Christmas as that way, we can focus on what we need to achieve. "As soon as it's been decided what bikes we'll be racing, we plan on getting some serious track time under our belts as I aim to give this my very best shot." Read article

BSB: Laverty and Jenkinson confirmed at Buildbase Kawasaki

Buildbase Kawasaki has today (Wednesday) announced their 2010 line up for the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, with John Laverty returning for a second season alongside Adam Jenkinson. Laverty joined the team in 2009, scoring top five finishes with a best result of fourth at Mallory Park and a front row qualifying position at Cadwell Park. The 2008 BSB Cup champion is aiming high with a year's experience with the team under his belt. Laverty said: "I had a really good first season with the team in 2009 and we had some really good performances, especially after I won the BSB Cup the year before. "They are a real hard-working team and are dedicated to the job and that is the best way to go racing. "We had a good season last year with a front row start and some good finishes and I can only see us moving forward next season. I am certainly determined and so are the team." Laverty is joined by Adam Jenkinson, who finished fourth in this year's Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship. BSB: Rutter remains with Ducati

Michael Rutter will be back on the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship grid in 2010 onboard a Ducati; and will team up with former BSB Cup rider Martin Jessopp. The duo will run the pair of 1098Rs that Rutter ran at the end of the 2009 season, with both expecting to compete at the North West 200 and Isle of Man in addition to the full BSB season. The team will continue to be backed by Bathams Brewery and Black Horse Finance and also West Country motorcycle dealership Riders. Rutter said: "Last year we dusted the bikes off and went racing, but it was a last-minute deal and very rushed. "I could see there was a lot of potential with the bikes and I think we will be really competitive next season with updated engines. We are already planning to go testing to get the bikes really sorted." Read article
