The Italian put in his fastest time early, and has spent much of the day working on the electronics, content with the work done on the engine and chassis at the previous Sepang test. Casey Stoner was the second fastest man, and the only rider to get close to the Italian. Stoner has been testing a new carbon fiber swingarm on the Desmosedici GP10, as Ducati continues to work on incorporating the advantages the aluminium swingarm offers into the carbon fiber version. Third and fourth fastest men were Andrea Dovizioso and Loris Capirossi, the two Italians throwing up a bit of a surprise. Dovizioso took half a second off his time from the previous test, the Repsol Honda team starting to integrate the data they collected three weeks' ago into finding a strong setup for the new Honda RC212V. Dovi's teammate Dani Pedrosa was less fortunate, suffering a slow speed fall that kept him off the track for a couple of hours, before returning and setting the 7th fastest time. read more Read article

Dani Pedrosa was first one to crash from the race, leaving first position to the Valentino Rossi, but not for a long. Rossi lost first position to Lorenzo and then crashed while trying to recover it from his team-mate, loosing 25 points in the process. Lorenzo eventually finished race in comfortable first place, with Alex De Angelis getting fantastic second place in front of Nicky Hayden, who scored his first podium in Ducati. Andrea Dovizioso took his usual 4th place, while Colin Edwards completed top 5 Indianapolis finishers. Read article

MotoGP victory nymber 102 was also 160th Rossis podium finish, which placed him in front of Giacomo Agostini to top the all-time podium list. More important for Rossi, he is now 50 points clear of Lorenzo in championship chase. Dani Pedrosa, who was briefly second in opening part of the race, was not able to follow Rossi and Lorenzo and finished race in lonely 2nd place after Lorenzo crashed. Contract time once again inspired Toni Elias to grab last step of the podium, after race-long battle with Dovizioso, who again finished in his trademark 4th place. Read article
Valentino Rossi wins 9th title in Sepang

After race-long recovery ride, Rossi managed to reach last podium step, which he inherited after fellow Italian Dovizioso crashed from that position. Third place was enough for Rossi to claim 9th MotoGP title in his career. Unlike Rossi, Casey Stoner had no problems at all and rode brilliant, error-free race, winning with 15 second advantage. Second rider in wet Sepang race was Dani Pedrosa, who finally managed to score decent result in wet race. Read article
